32,000 former prisoners returned home after fighting for Russia in Ukraine - Wagner Group founder

Evgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner Group military cartel, said on June 18 that 32,000 former prisoners have returned home after having fought for Russia in Ukraine, SIA refers to foreign media.

According to Prigozhin, Wagner fighters who gained their freedom after serving Russia in the war subsequently committed a total of 83 crimes, “80 times fewer than among people who were freed during the same period without signing on with Wagner Group.”

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that he had signed a decree on amnesty of former prisoners sent to fight by "PMCs".

The PMC "Wagner" is an unofficial Russian armed group created by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a St. Petersburg businessman close to President Vladimir Putin. The PMC mercenaries, prisoners recruited to colonies, actively participate in the war with Ukraine, as well as ground operations in Syria and Africa.

They are accused of numerous war crimes, including extrajudicial executions. Although Prigozhin has not directly confirmed this, he hasn't denied it either. Wagner PMC is already recognized as a criminal and terrorist organization in several countries.

Currently, the last major operation in Ukraine with the participation of Wagner PMC was the attack on Bakhmut. Prigozhin, who announced the capture of the city at the end of May, said that the mercenaries would retreat.

Currently, it is not yet known when Wagner PMC will return to the front.

Prigozhin's statement above that 32 thousand ex-prisoners, Wagner PMC fighters have returned to Russian territory should not be taken as a coincidence.

Because most of them are hardened criminals and thugs. And their return to the Russian territory will, of course, speak for itself in the Russian criminology starting from the near future.
