Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has instructed his Special Assistant for International Affairs, Celso Amorim, to travel to Ukraine. The date of the trip has not yet been determined, head of the General Secretariat of the presidential administration, Marcio Macedo, tweeted, SİA informs.
“President Lula made a decision and instructed me to inform that the Special Assistant for International Affairs, former Foreign Minister Celso Amorim will visit Ukraine,” he wrote.
Earlier, the Brazilian leader proposed creating an analogue of the G20 for negotiating to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. He stated that during the 2008 crisis, the G20 was created to save the global economy. The Brazilian president believes that today it is necessary to create another "Big Twenty" in order to "put an end to the war and establish peace."
