Azerbaijani national judo team won 6 medals at the open European tournament held in Riccione, Italy.
Our judokas won 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in the tournament.
Azerbaijani judokas faced each other in the final match of the tournament in the 100 kg category. Zelim Kotsoyev, who defeated Mammadali Mehdiyev, won the gold medal. M. Mehdiyev was satisfied with the silver award.
Two more silver medals were won by Rovshan Aliyev (60 kg) and Orkhan Safarov (66 kg).
Said Mollayi (81 kg) and Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) won bronze medals for our team.
Azerbaijan took the third place overall, and the second place among men.
