Resident of the Central Customs Hospital Wins First Place at the 18th Conference of Young Ophthalmologists of Azerbaijan
Fidan Jamalova, a second-year resident specializing in Ophthalmology at the Central Customs Hospital, has achieved outstanding success at the 18th Conference and 4th Forum of Young Ophthalmologists of Azerbaijan, winning first place in the “Most Interesting Presentation” category.
At the conference, held at the National Centre of Ophthalmology named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva in Baku, Fidan Jamalova delivered a scientific presentation entitled “Intraocular Haemorrhage Following Eye Trauma: Undiagnosed Coagulopathy”. Her presentation attracted considerable interest from the participants and received high praise.
It is worth noting that the Conference of Young Ophthalmologists, which has been held since 2006, has evolved over the past 20 years into an important scientific platform supporting the academic and professional development of young specialists, the exchange of experience and the expansion of international cooperation. The conference plays a particularly important role in showcasing the scientific potential of young physicians and strengthening the intergenerational exchange of knowledge in the field of ophthalmology. This year's conference was dedicated to the memory of Professor Nazim Efendiyev, who made significant contributions to the development of Azerbaijani ophthalmology.
The management and staff of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee congratulate Fidan Jamalova on this achievement and wish her continued success and further accomplishments in her scientific and professional career!
