Turkish Airlines to sponsor the UEFA Champions League final

Turkish Airlines (THY) was the first airline to sponsor the UEFA Champions League final in Istanbul in 2023. According to SIA, Turkish Airlines, which carries millions of people from 129 countries in the sky every year, became the official sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, one of the most watched sports competitions in the world. Considered one of the most important sponsorship deals in Turkish sports history, this prestigious partnership is significant with the UEFA Champions League final being held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on 10 June 2023.

The UEFA Champions League, which is the official sponsor of Turkish Airlines, is delivered to 678 million viewers in 200 countries through more than 70 broadcasting companies. Within the framework of the agreement, Turkey's national flag bearer will cooperate as an official sponsor with UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Futsal Champions League finals and UEFA Youth League finals.

The official ceremony regarding the sponsorship of Turkish Airlines to the UEFA Champions League was held in the presence of THY Board of Directors and Executive Committee Chairman Professor Ahmet Bolat, high-ranking officials of the company, and the President of the Union of European Football Associations Alexander Cefer.

Professor Ahmet Bolat, chairman of THY Board of Directors and Executive Committee, said, "As the flagship airline company of our country, we are happy to sponsor one of the biggest sports events - the UEFA Champions League."

Turkish Airlines was the first airline in the world to cooperate with UEFA as the official airline sponsor of EURO 2016.

The flag carrier has also sponsored famous teams such as Barcelona, ​​Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Olympique de Marseille and River. Turkish Airlines' "The Selfie Shootout" commercial featuring Kobe Bryant and Lionel Messi is one of the most viewed commercials of all time.
