Azerbaijani chess player Gunay Mammadzade, who was successful in the personal European championship in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, as well as other representatives of our country who participated in the tournament, returned to the homeland.
Chess players were welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by Mahir Mammadov, president of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACEF) and vice-president of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), officials of the ACE, family members of the chess players and media representatives.
It should be noted that Gunay Mammadzade won a silver medal and Ulviyya Fataliyeva won a bronze medal at the European Championship. Ulviyya Fataliyeva will return to her homeland tomorrow.
