Azerbaijani Junior Taekwondo Team will compete in the World Championship held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
According to ATF, Azerbaijan will be represented by 17 (10 boys and 7 girls) athletes. Students of head coach Elnur Amanov and senior coach Vurgun Jafarov - Mehdi Budagli (33 kg), Ilyas Hatamli (37 kg), Riad Guliyev (41 kg), Fuad Maharramli (45 kg), Bahadur Dostuyev (49 kg), Vasif Salimov (53 kg), Abdulsubhan Dadashov (57 kg), Yunis Huseynov (61 kg), Eljan Aliyev (65 kg) and Nihad Hasanov (over 65 kg) are planned to compete.
Among the teenage female athletes, Zahra Isayeva (29 kg), Gulu Zamanli (33 kg), Khuraman Javadzade (37 kg), Firangul Abbaszade (41 kg), Banu Guliyeva (44 kg), Shams Alizade (47 kg), Fatima Hasanova will compete in the 51 kg category.
The World Championship, which will start on July 28, will be concluded on July 31. The competitions will be held at the Armeec sports arena.
International referee Aygül Abdullayeva will represent our country in the World Cup.
