Lewis Hamilton marks 300th Formula 1 race

The seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, the driver of the Mercedes team, completed his 300th round in Formula 1 last weekend in France.

Commenting on the possibility of reaching 400 Grand Prix, Hamilton emphasized that "400 is a big number. First of all, I'm grateful to have already reached 300 Grand Prix, but I feel refreshed and full. I enjoy every race and I am proud to work in such a team. I am enjoying my work more than ever. I want to win again and I need time to get back to it. At some point we will definitely sit down at the negotiating table and discuss the future, but right now I want to develop with our team. Not only in races, but also off the track", SIA cites PitPass.

Mercedes executive director Toto Wolff later said that "Hamilton could have spent another 5-10 years in Formula 1 and reached 400 Grands Prix in his career."

It's worth noting that, Hamilton has extended his contract with Mercedes until 2023.
