The U-17 European Wrestling Championship will be held in Bucharest, Romania, on June 13-19. According to the info given by the federation's press service to SIA, a meeting was held today with members of the national girls team who will represent our country at the continental championship. Member of the Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation Namig Abdullayev, Secretary General Nasimi Musayev and Deputy Head Coach of the women's national team Rovshan Umudov expressed confidence in the wrestlers who will take part in the competition and wished them success.
Under the leadership of head coach Hasrat Mammadyarov and coach Solmaz Adilova, the team that will participate in the EC includes 6 female athletes: Elvina Karimzade (43 kg), Aysel Mammadzade (46 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova (49 kg), Jasmin Askerova (53 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (57 kg) and Fatima Isayeva (65 kg).
It should be noted that, according to the EC program, a draw on women's wrestling will be held on June 14. In the next 3 days, accordant type of wrestling will take place.
