Our female wrestlers will compete in the Bolat Turlikhanov Cup

The Bolat Turlikhanov Wrestling Cup has started in Almaty, Kazakhstan. According to the info given by the federation's press service to SIA, our country is represented by female wrestlers in this competition, which is the second ranking tournament of the year. Under the leadership of acting head coach Rovshan Umudov and coach Solmaz Adilova, Turkan Nasirova, Shahana Nazarova (both 50 kg), Leyla Gurbanova, Tatyana Varansova (both 53 kg), Jala Aliyeva (59 kg) and Alice Manolova (65 kg) will compete in the tournament.

According to the program of the competition, our wrestlers will appear on the carpet on June 4. The fight in 50 kg category will start from the quarterfinals. Turkan Nasirova will face Mongolia's Namuuntsetseg Tsog-Ochir, the third in the world, and Shahana Nazarova will face Kazakhstan's Aygul Nuralim. In the qualifying round, Tatyana Varansova (53 kg) will face two-time bronze medalist of the Asian Championship Aktenge Keunimjaeva, and our other representative in this weight category Leyla Gurbanova will face the world number two Puja Gehlot (India) in the quarterfinals. Participants in 59 and 65 kg will first compete in the group stage. Jala Aliyeva with Tsogzolmaa Dorjsuren (Mongolia), Ayshan Ismagulova (Kazakhstan) and Difuza Aimbetova (Uzbekistan), Alice Manolova with Manisha Manisha (India), Dinora Rustamova (Uzbekistan) and Kazakhstani title wrestler Yelena Shaligina.

It should be noted that the first category judge Elman Ismayilov is defending fairness in the rating tournament, which will last until June 5.
