The International Federation of Football History and Statistics has announced the symbolic team in the history of football in the USSR. According to SIA, former Neftchi head coaches Anatoly Demyanenko and Igor Netto are also in the top 11 with a 4-2-4 tactical scheme.

Defenders: Vladimir Bessonov, Albert Shesternyov, Murtaz Khurtsilava, Anatoly Demyanenko
Midfielders: Valeri Voronin, Igor Netto
Forwards: Igor Chislenko, Eduard Streltsov, Oleg Bloxin, Grigory Fedotov
It should be noted that Netto headed Neftchi in 1979 and Demyanenko in 2008.
