On May 7, the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription (SSMC) held the 7th shooting tournament among media representatives dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. SIA reports that, 13 media teams consisting of 3 people each took part in the competition, which took place in the Sabunchu regional branch of the Military Patriotism and Specialist Training Center LLC.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Opening the tournament, Deputy Chief of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, Lieutenant General Zaur Abdullayev greeted the media and informed that the traditional shooting tournament dedicated to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev was organized by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The shooting tournament was reorganized after the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 22, 2022 "On additional measures to extend the special quarantine regime and remove some restrictions."
The competition started after the media representatives were instructed on safety rules.
The teams participating in the tournament competed in two stages. The 5 teams that showed the best results in the first stage determined the top three in the second stage. At the end of the two stages, the first place was taken by the teams of “Report” Information Agency, the second place was taken by “Azpress.az” website, the third place was taken by “Ses” News Agency.
The winners were awarded trophies, medals, diplomas and cash prizes.
