As part of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku, the Azerbaijani team in group exercises rose to the highest step of the podium in the program with 5 hoops. The final performance of our team, consisting of Gullu Agalarzade, Laman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Elizabeth Luzan and Daria Sorokina, took first place with 32,850 points from the judges.
The Italian team was silver with 32,450 points, and the Israeli gymnasts were third with 32,050 points.
Yesterday, our group exercises team won a silver medal in the all-around competitions. This is the 5th international gymnastics competition hosted by Azerbaijan this year. 126 gymnasts from 42 countries are taking part in the competition, including 42 individual and 84 group teams (14 groups).
According to tradition, the traditional AGF Trophy trophy will be presented to the gymnast and the team that scored the most points in the tournament.
This is the ninth Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in our country. It should be noted that our capital hosted the world championship in this sport in 2005 and 2019.
