Belarusian chess player, international master, coach Mikhail Shereshevsky is visiting Baku. For some time, the famous coach will train young and junior chess players, including the Azerbaijani women's team. The Azerbaijan Chess Federation has decided to involve Mikhail Shereshevsky in a training camp to increase the level of training of juniors and youth, as well as the women's national team, SIA reports.
The training will be held in a special program for the individual development of chess players.
It should be noted that Mikhail Shereshevsky, well-known coach in the CIS, was born in 1950 in Minsk. During his career, he won the championship of Belarus and was repeatedly involved in the national team in his country. Among Shereshevsky's students are chess players Ilaha Gadimova, Alexey Alexandrov and Yelena Zayats. His books on chess, "Endgame's strategy", "Endgame's lines", "Towards an endgame with young people" have become very popular in the world of chess. Current world champion, Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, former world champion Vladimir Kramnik, chess player Boris Gelfand, who took part in the match for the chess crown, praised M. Shereshevsky's books and called them an unprecedented analysis for the younger generation. In recent years, Mikhail Shereshevsky has been working as a senior coach at former world champion Vladimir Kramnik's Sirius Chess School in Sochi.
