Azerbaijani athletes have won 3 medals at the Karate1 Premier League tournament in Tokyo SIA reports referring to the Azerbaijan National Karate Federation.
Irina Zaretska (-68 kg) won the race, Rafael Aghayev (-75 kg) won silver and Aykhan Mamayev (-84 kg) won bronze.
The fifth stage of the prestigious tournament of the World Karate Federation (WKF) Karate1 series has been organized at the Nippon Budokan gym where the Olympic karate competitions will be held. Nearly 700 competitors from 79 countries participated in the event.
The sixth stage of the Karate1 Premier League tournament will be held in Moscow on October 6-4.
