Rovshan Najaf, President of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) met with Fernando Santos, the new head coach of the Azerbaijan national football team.
The meeting revolved around the goals set for the national team, and the work that needs to be done to build a strong and competitive team. During the conversation, the two also exchanged views on future plans for the promotion of Azerbaijani football, including the development of children's football and other issues.
AFFA has today signed a three-year contract with Portuguese manager Fernando Santos with the option of a further year.
