Reigning champions Manchester City to take on Real Madrid at Champions League quarterfinals

The reigning champions Manchester City will take on Real Madrid, the competition's record holders who have listed the trophy 14 times, in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, Anadolu Agency reports. John Obi Mikel, who won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2011-12, was a special guest at Friday's draw in Nyon.

English Premier League side Arsenal will face German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, while Spanish La Liga team Atletico Madrid will take on another Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund, and French Ligue 1 team Paris Saint-Germain will play against Spanish powerhouse Barcelona in the other quarterfinals.

The first legs of the quarterfinals will take place on April 9-10, followed by the second legs on April 16-17.

The semifinal first legs will be played on April 30-May 1, with the second legs taking place on May 7-8.

The UEFA Champions League final will be played at London's Wembley Stadium on June 1.
