The 13th European Shotokan Championships is held in the city of Kranevo, Bulgaria on April 28-30.
On the anniversary of the championship, Azerbaijani athlete Tahir Alakbarov, competing in the 14-15 age, 70 kg weight category, won all his fights according to shobu ippon and shobu sanbon rules.
Alekbarov climbed to the first step of the chair and won the title of European champion.
The young European champion is a student of "Agstafa Fudokan Karate-do Center".
Alekbarov's personal trainer is senior lieutenant Samir Alekbarov, a war veteran, who was awarded medals for the liberation of Gubadli and Jabrayil.
