Azerbaijani judoka Balabey Agayev has reached the finals of the Grand Slam held in Paris, the capital of France.
According to SIA, the athlete who performed in the 60 kg weight category successively defeated Matteus Takaki (Brazil), Tsogt-Ochir Byambajav (Mongolia), Temur Nozadze (Georgia) and Kamoliddin Bakhtiyarov (Uzbekistan).
Yashar Najafov at 66 kg lost to An Jehong (South Korea) in the 1/16 final, Nurlan Osmanov at 73 kg lost to Redouane Messaoud Dris (Algeria) in the same round.
The Grand Slam will be concluded on February 5.
