Azerbaijan handball championship held the second round matches for men, SIA reports. On the following game day, the "Baku" and "Mahsul" teams entered the field first.
The first round game between the rivals ended with a score of 29-28. The previous champion appeared in front of the fans with a sense of revenge, yet could not fulfill their desire.
The first half ended with a score of 14:9 in favor of "Baku" team. However, after the break, "Mahsul", showing great perseverance, managed to balance with the score of 21:21. In the penalty shoot-out series that determined the winner, the "Mahsul" team, which executed the kicks more accurately, won its second consecutive victory over the champion - with a score of 25:24.
In other games of the day, the "Sports Academy" team won against the RIOEUGIM team with a score of 34:30. The match between "U-16" and "Tahsil" ended with a score of 22:46.
