"In general, as a result of the modern organization of media and communication activities in recent years, the true intentions of the parties conducting smear campaigns against our country on the eve and during COP29 have been promptly exposed in the local media," Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency said at the "Media Literacy" Conference, APA reports.
He said that the establishment of sustainable natural resistance in the public against the flow of internal and external negative information and the neutralization of disinformation threats have been ensured:
Preserving the public and political vigilance of society, preventing smear campaigns against the country, and properly delivering the state's messages to society through the media in the direction of promoting statehood principles and values has a serious impact on the formation of public opinion based on sound principles.
As an important contribution of media reforms, the ratio in the information environment of our country has changed in favor of media entities that uphold the statehood interests of Azerbaijan and whose activities are based on the principles of professional ethics."
