WHO and its partners held a One Health dialogue in preparation for COP29, APA reports.
In order to prepare for the COP29 event to be held in Baku in November 2024, the WHO Country Office in Azerbaijan organized a event entitled "One Health: preparation for COP29 with intersectoral dialogue". Decision-makers and technical experts of the COP29 Presidency, relevant ministries, universities, civil society, private sector, youth and UN agencies attended the event.
Vladanka Andreeva, Resident Coordinator of the UN in Azerbaijan, said that during COP29, deepening of holistic health in Azerbaijan will be discussed: "Covid-19 recalls us that the protection of human and animal health and nature forces organizations working in this direction to work in coordination. During COP29, which will be held in Baku, we will be able to discuss the deepening of holistic health. This topic was discussed at previous COP events as well."
