Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva has issued a statement on March 31 -the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis, SİA reports.
It was noted on the statement that throughout history, Azerbaijani compatriots have repeatedly been subjected to ethnic cleansing, genocide and deportations by Armenia on purpose.
The world community and international organizations should recognize this terrible crime committed against Azerbaijanis in 1918 as an act of genocide at the international level and should not be indifferent to the crimes committed against Azerbaijanis throughout history in order to prevent such events from happening again in the future.
