Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan forge stronger bonds of cooperation and friendship - Azerbaijani MP stated

In recent years, cooperation and mutual relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic have been on the rise, aimed at bolstering unity and friendship between the two nations and peoples.

The Chairman of the Agrarian Policy Committee of the National Assembly and Member of Parliament, Tahir Rzayev, said in his statement to SIA.

Rzayev highlighted the particular importance of the visit by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, to our country in this regard.

During the visit, the holding of the 2nd session of the intergovernmental commission of both countries and the signing of a highly important Joint Declaration, Memorandum of Understanding, and a total of 18 documents bring new meaning into unity and cooperation.

"The visit will contribute to strengthening friendship and brotherhood relations between our countries," Azerbaijan's President, Ilham Aliyev, emphasized the significance of this visit in a statement to the press.

Indeed, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan share historical roots, national customs and traditions, and longstanding friendship, which have endured for centuries.

The Kyrgyz Republic has supported Azerbaijan's just struggle in all platforms, international events, highest-level meetings, as well as during the 44-day war and 23-hour anti-terror operations, and has taken a stance in favor of the full restoration of our state's sovereignty. This support has stimulated active cooperation in the economic and trade spheres.

During the visit, the increase of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund's Charter Fund fourfold, from $25 million to $100 million, and the setting of new tasks for the realization of projects within the framework of the joint investment fund, provide a basis for faster implementation.

The signing of documents on cooperation in healthcare, education, science, energy, transportation, migration, economy, and other fields during the visit is intended to contribute to future development and strengthen friendship. President Ilham Aliyev stated, "The documents signed today are not the end, as some of them will be signed in the relevant state structures. Thus, we are also creating a strong legislative basis for our relations."

"President Ilham Aliyev's policy of strengthening relations with Central Asian states, improving relations with the Kyrgyz Republic, and serving the prosperous future is a policy aimed at the unity of our peoples and the permanence of our sovereignty," Tahir Rzayev emphasized.
