US Azerbaijanis continue to protest Armenia's war crimes

The appeals of the Azerbaijani community living in different states of the United States to the international community regarding the mass graves discovered in Edilli village of Khojavand district and the Azerbaijani cities bombarded by the Armenian armed forces during the Second Karabakh War continue.

According to SIA, in the appeals addressed to "Human Rights Watch", "Freedom House", "Front Line Defenders", "Open Society Foundation" and other international organizations, on behalf of the head of United Charities for Azerbaijan Charitable Foundation, Gunduz Tahirli, diaspora activist, owner of "Delicious Food" restaurant, Sevda Tahirli, head of American Azerbaijani Women's Association, Lala Rahimova, and the diaspora activist, Gunay Askarova, it was stated that the Americans of Azerbaijani origin honor the memory of the victims of the Edilli crime, which is the exposure of yet another war crime of Armenia, and those who died as a result of missile attacks by the Armenian armed forces on Azerbaijani cities from September 27 to November 10, 2020.

The remains discovered in Edilli belong to Azerbaijanis who disappeared during the First Karabakh War, the Armenian side has so far refused to provide information about the fate and mass burial places of up to 4,000 Azerbaijanis. It was noted that as a result of the military aggression committed by Armenia during the Second Karabakh War, 93 civilians, including 12 children and 27 women were killed, while 454 people were injured in various degrees, and several civil infrastructure was severely damaged.

Recalling the war crimes committed by the Armenian armed forces against Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani people during the 30-year occupation, our compatriots informed the organizations about the official Yerevan's efforts to hide the war crimes from the world community.

"The Azerbaijanis of the USA strongly condemn these crimes committed against humanity and peace, it is unacceptable for international organizations to remain silent on the commission of these bloody crimes, and that despite the numerous appeals of diaspora organizations, no practical steps have been taken to bring the war criminals to justice," our compatriots noted.

Americans of Azerbaijani origin demanded from the international community to put an end to the war crimes of Armenia once and for all, and to take immediate measures at the legal level to bring to justice those responsible for the crimes against peace and humanity committed on ethnic grounds numerous times.
