US President-Elect Donald Trump has publicly and at closed meetings said he wants to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, said President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenski, SİA reports citing Unian.
He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin is also aware of the intention of Trump.
Zelenski said Russia refrains from the USA and China, as well as joining of the European countries.
The Ukrainian leader at the same time has noted that Europe cannot wage war against Russia without the army of his country: “The Russian army is more superior than the European Union for its personal staff and weapons and ammunition. The EU states live in peaceful conditions and don’t know what the war is. However, Russia has experience about that. The EU has no chance of gaining victory without the Ukrainian army. Ukraine is not the wall for any country that needs occupation and defense. If you want to end the war within the year, you should do anything for it”.
The Ukrainian president has also said that the president-elect Trump may put Russia under pressure.
The next issue mentioned by Zelenski has been related to the relations between the US and the EU: “The US is our powerful partner. The EU has become powerful at the expense of increasing the weapon production. The EU should be pragmatic, increase the weapon production, and demonstrate to Russia that it produces more weapons”.
