"COP29 is a very important platform to ensure that we implement the Paris Agreement," Amina Mohammed, UN Deputy Secretary General, who participated in the Pre-COP event in Baku told APA.
According to her, COP29 is an integral part of the Sustainable Development Agenda.
The UN Deputy Secretary-General mentioned the significance of climate finance, adding that finance is a key issue at COP29. Amina Mohammed stressed that she is hopeful that a consensus will be reached at COP29 regarding this issue: "The financial issue is very important for us. There are still 31 days until the start of COP29, let's see how we can do it."
