Measures to extinguish the wildfires in the mountainous terrain and forests in Azerbaijan's Gabala, Shabran, Guba and Siyazan districts are being continued, the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told SİA.
The ministry noted that the fires in some areas were contained and their spread to more expansive areas was prevented.
Firefighting measures are carried out in mountainous areas with complex terrain. Hot and windy weather conditions prevent complete extinguishing.
Firefighting operations are ongoing.
