On September 17, at 15:19 local time, a mud volcano erupted in Lokbatan, Azerbaijan, Republican Seismological Service Center under ANAS told SİA.
It was reported that the depth of the eruption of the mud volcano was 3 kilometers, and the eruption lasted for 6 minutes and 20 seconds.
The second phase of the eruption was registered at 16:09 local time. The duration of the eruption was 3 minutes and 34 seconds.
Seismic energy released during eruption is determined as Е=0.4×10⁷ C.
The volcano was recoded by nine seismic stations (near the volcano) of the Republic Seismological Service Center under ANAS.
