First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev met with Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of St. Petersburg Nizami Mamishov.
The First Deputy Minister emphasized the development of business relations with the regions of Russia, including St. Petersburg. He noted that there is great potential for expanding cooperation in industry, trade, investment, innovation, tourism, humanitarian and other fields. At the meeting, the prospects of cooperation in the field of shipbuilding, favorable conditions for increasing the trade turnover by using the resources of the North-South international transport route were brought to the attention. It was reported that the interest of Russian companies in the construction works carried out in the territories freed from occupation is welcomed in our country.
Nizami Mamishov, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of St. Petersburg, shared his views on the directions of development of economic cooperation and drew attention to the possibilities of strengthening relations in a number of areas.
The sides exchanged ideas on the promotion of "Made in Azerbaijan" brand products in St. Petersburg, expansion of trade, cooperation with Russian companies within the framework of industrial zones.
