Azerbaijani Deputy PM responds to Armenian PM's suggestion on three checkpoints: There has been no agreement on this matter

"We assess the decision of the Armenian government on establishment of three checkpoints on the border with Armenia as an imitation of implementation of obligations under Article 9 of the Trilateral Statement dated November 9/10, 2020," said Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, APA reports.

"Because, firstly, according to the results of conducted monitoring, roads from these points are not useful for transport relations with Nakhchivan, which is one of the purposes of restoration of communication, and international transport cargo in most parts of the year due to landscape and climate conditions.

Moreover, as a rule, crossing points are opened with the consent of parties on the basis of mutualness. However, there has been no agreement with Azerbaijan on this matter."
