Azerbaijan's Energy Minister receives Hungarian ambassador

Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov received Tamash Torman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Importance of energy cooperation as part of the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary was emphasized at the meeting. Opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor were also discussed.

The minister informed about the favorable investment environment in the field of "green energy" in Azerbaijan and the works carried out on the implementation of large-scale projects with the attraction of foreign investments. It was stated that a certain part of the electric energy produced in our country due to the renewable energy sources, especially the large powers that will be created on the offshore wind energy, is planned to be exported to Europe.

The ambassador expressed his country's interest in active cooperation in the field of both traditional and renewable energy, as well as participation of Hungarian companies in the restoration of territories liberated from occupation and transformation into a "green energy zone".

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on a number of other issues arising from cooperation in the field of energy.
