"Certainly, we have conducted a large exchange of views of our future energy policy today. As Prime Minister has noted, carried out projects are already successfully operating and we think about new projects," said President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in a press statement following the one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, SİA reports.
"We think of increasing gas exports to the world markets. We will have export of 22 billion cubic meters this year, it will further increase next year. It is noted in the memorandum on strategic partnership signed between the European Commission and Azerbaijan in energy field in July of this year that Azerbaijan will double its gas exports to Europe in the next five years. And so, we plan that Azerbaijan's gas exports to Europe only will reach 20 billion cubic meters in 2027," noted the head of state.
