Energy Minister: ‘Azerbaijan is not experiencing the energy crisis today’
"Today, Azerbaijan is not experiencing an energy crisis, and the energy independence of the country is fully ensured," Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said in his article published in the official press on the occasion of the October 20 Energy Workers Day, Report informs.
According to him, Azerbaijan has become one of the world's leading countries in the development of all energy components: "Azerbaijan contributes to the energy security of many countries by exporting oil, gas, and electricity."
"A new stage has begun in the development of Azerbaijan as an energy country," the minister said. "At this stage, the strategic role of our country in Europe's energy supply will be further strengthened due to many sources. This will be possible primarily by expanding the Southern Gas Corridor and increasing the natural gas supply. At the same time, the export of electric energy, especially green energy, will be realized at the expense of the main source of another corridor - the green energy corridor."
