The chairman of the committee greeted the guests and spoke about the importance of relations between Azerbaijan and the World Bank. Tahir Mirkishili spoke about the mechanisms for strengthening the stability of the budget system in Azerbaijan and shared his views regarding the topic.
Deputy chairman of the committee Ali Masimli, committee members Vugar Bayramov, Aydın Huseynov, Mazahir Efendiyev, Mahir Abbaszadeh, and head of the Economic Legislation Department of the Milli Majlis, Mahammad Bazigov, who participated in the meeting, spoke about the budget processes in Azerbaijan, the stability of the budget system, and the evaluation criteria of the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework.
Representatives of the World Bank, Mark Robinson, Marco Cancano, Ana Palacio, and Aytan Akhundova, the project manager of the Swiss Cooperation Organization, spoke about the international experience in areas such as the development of fiscal sustainability, budget rules, the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, and noted the importance of joint cooperation in this context.
During the conversation, opinions were exchanged on other topics of interest to the parties.
