Moldova will soon appoint a new ambassador to Azerbaijan – possibly Alexandr Esaulenco, SİA informs referring to Moldovan media.
Esaulenco is Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, and previously was the Director of the Information and Security Service of Moldova.
His candidacy has already been approved by the parliamentary commission.
According to the provisions of the Law on the Foreign Service, proposals for the appointment of an ambassador are submitted to the government by the minister of foreign affairs and European integration after consultation with the Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Policy and European Integration.
