President: Memorandum signed between Azerbaijan and EU is roadmap for future cooperation in energy field
"A Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership in the field of energy between the European Union represented by the European Commission and the Republic of Azerbaijan" was signed between Azerbaijan and the European Union last month. I think, signing the document was a very important step taken in the direction of further development of our energy resources," said President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev while his speech on “The role of Azerbaijan for Energy Security” at the plenary session of the 48th edition of the international Cernobbio Forum in Cernobbio, Italy, SİA reports.
"The memorandum plays a role of a roadmap for future cooperation in the field of energy. Guided by the document, I can say that we plan to double our natural gas export to Europe. I am sure that we will be able to achieve it," stressed head of state.
