Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov received the delegation led by the Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, MP David McAlister, who was on a working visit to our country.
The importance of the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership in the field of energy with the European Union for the further development of cooperation in areas such as natural gas supply, renewable energy, green hydrogen, energy efficiency, and environmental protection was emphasized at the meeting, the Ministry of Energy told SIA.
Information was provided on Hydrocarbon resources of Azerbaijan, expansion plans of the Southern Gas Corridor, renewable energy potential of our country, efficient use of these natural resources in the process of energy transition with the involvement of private investments and goals in the direction of "green energy" export, energy efficiency, the fight against climate change, the projects implemented in Karabakh and East Zangezur in the direction of the creation of the Green Energy Zone.
The questions of the parliament representatives were answered at the end of the meeting.
