What are the reasons for the increase in food prices? - THE ECONOMIST EXPLAINED

"The increase in food prices is not due to the increase in the price of gasoline."

Economist-expert Khalid Karimli said in his statement to SIA.

According to him: "The price of food has been increasing for a long time. So this is not an issue related to gasoline. The reasons for the rising food prices are completely different. Last year, the price of diesel gasoline were increased. Because of this, a large amount of diesel fuel and a small amount of AI-92 gasoline are used in cargo transportation. Therefore, I think it has nothing to do with rising food prices. There are other local and global factors for the increase in food prices."
