SOCAR wants to achieve 0 indicators of associated gas emissions this year

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to reach zero emissions of associated gases in production by the end of this year. This statement came from SOCAR Vice President for Ecology Rafiga Huseynzadeh speaking on the second day of the Baku Energy Forum, SIA reports.

According to her, in 2021 this figure was 2%.

Huseynzadeh also noted that SOCAR is actively working on decarbonization, energy efficiency, associated gas collection and other environmental issues.
