The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia in Q1 of 2022 amounted to $631.373 mln, which is 7.9% more than in the corresponding period last year, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan reported on Monday.
According to the report, in January-March, exports of Azerbaijani products to Russia amounted to $155.181 mln (14.7% more than last year), and imports of goods from Russia - $476.192 mln (5.8% more).
In general, according to the data of the customs department, Russia ranked third among Azerbaijan's trading partners after Italy and Turkey in Q1. The share of trade operations with Russia during the reporting period accounted for 5.79% of the total foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan.
At the end of 2021, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia increased by 12.1% compared to the previous year and amounted to $2.995 bln. The share of trade operations with Russia last year amounted to 8.83% of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover.
