In January-March this year, Azerbaijan's processing industry produced goods worth 4.449 billion manat. According to the State Statistics Committee, this is 22.7% more than in the same period last year. The main part of the processing industry (31.7%) was food production. In the first quarter of 2022, the country produced food products worth 1.411 billion manat, which is 9.4% more than a year prior.
It should be noted that the other most valuable activities were the production of petroleum products and the chemical industry. Products worth 912.8 million manat and 555.5 million manat were produced in these sectors, respectively. This is 16.2% and 69.1% more than a year prior.
