EU to focus on blocking ways to evade anti-Russian sanctions

The European Council has made the decision to focus on enforcing its anti-Russian sanctions, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said.

"Now, all our efforts should be on enforcing these sanctions, and on preventing circumvention and evasion," she said.

In turn, European Council President Charles Michel said the European Union will now work with third states to notify them about its anti-Russian measures and persuade them to comply.
