The price of wheat has sharply increased on the background of economic processes ongoing in the world, impacts of COVID-19 pandemic, increase of demand for wheat on the world markets during 2021, and different protective measures, taken by wheat producer countries in order to protect domestic market over the recent period, State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control told SİA.
Thus taking into account import prices and processing costs, currently, real price formed for this product, maximum high limit of price has been determined with flour and bread producers: Wholesale price of a 50 kg bag of flour- AZN 35,9, retail price of 500 g of traditional (round) bread- AZN 0.50, retail price of 650 g of traditional (round) bread- AZN 0.65. State Service continues serious control measures on following price limits. According to the results of the first days of monitoring, the wholesale price of flour changes between AZN 35,4-35,9.
