Çavuşoğlu: Turkish companies ready to cooperate in developing fields in Caspian Sea

"Turkish companies are ready to participate in the development of oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea. We have conveyed our intention to the parties in this regard," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said while commenting on the agreement signed between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on joint exploration and development of hydrocarbon resources in the Dostlug field in the Caspian Sea, SİA informs, citing TRT Haber.

"One of the critical issues here is to deliver oil and gas to Turkey via existing pipelines. There is an opportunity for cooperation in every sense," he stressed.

On March 5, Çavuşoğlu began his trip to Central Asia, and he visited Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Speaking about the results, the Foreign Minister said that the meetings were held in a cordial atmosphere:

"Our visit to both Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan was beneficial."
