International Monetary Fund (IMF) will conduct consultations with Azerbaijani government on article IV of regulation of Fund ("2021 Article IV Consultation") in late April-early May in 2021, Natalia Tamirisa, the head of the IMF mission to Azerbaijan told SİA.
According to her, the consultations will be held virtually because of COVID-19 pandemic.
Note that the last consultations of Article IV of regulation of IMF have been conducted in 2019. . In 2020, the consultation did not take place due to a pandemic.
Recall that Article IV includes a review in all sectors of the Azerbaijani economy and then submission of proposals and recommendations to the government.
