Baku to host meeting of Azerbaijan-Turkey Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation
The 8th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Azerbaijan and Turkey will be held in Baku on September 16 SIA reports reffering to the Azerbaijan Cabinet of Ministers. The meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister, Co-Chair of the Commission from the Azerbaijani side Novruz Mammadov and Vice-President Fuat Oktay from Turkish side . Representatives of ministries, agencies and other organizations that are members of the Commission fromboth sides will attend the meeting. The meeting is expected to discuss the current state of trade and economic relations between the two countries, as well as issues related to the expansion of economic relations and ensuring the duration of economic relations.
The Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Azerbaijan and Turkey was established in accordance with the "Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Turkey" signed on November 2, 1992 in Ankara.
