Kazakhstan and China discuss TITR development and shipbuilding for Caspian transport

Representatives of Kazakhstan’s KTZ Express (a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy) and China’s Yiwu Timex held a working meeting on March 3 to discuss the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

According to Report's Kazakhstan bureau, citing the press service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, the meeting focused on new logistics solutions for deliveries to Central Asia and expanding cooperation within the TITR framework.

Yiwu Timex is one of China’s largest logistics operators, specializing in freight transportation from Zhejiang Province to Europe and Central Asia. The company develops international routes and integrates Chinese logistics into global transport networks.

"The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation in shipbuilding for the Caspian region, as well as the modernization of port and railway infrastructure in Aktau. Additionally, they considered launching additional high-speed container trains to Central Asian countries to accelerate cargo delivery," the statement said.
