Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz produced 227 bcm gas so far

Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields have produced 452.2 billion cubic meters of gas since they were put into operation until September 1, 2024, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan told APA.

225 billion cubic meters of gas was produced from ACG and 227.2 billion cubic meters from Shah Deniz during the reporting period.

It is reported that almost 162 billion cubic meters of gas have been transported for export from ACG and Shah Deniz.

According to information, 33 billion cubic meters of natural gas was produced in Azerbaijan during 8 months of this year. 8.7 billion cubic meters of gas was produced by ACG, 18.1 billion cubic meters by Shah Deniz, 1.1 billion cubic meters by Absheron, and 5.1 billion cubic meters by SOCAR. Compared to the corresponding period of last year, gas was produced with an increase of approximately 0.8 billion cubic meters.

"In this period, gas sales abroad amounted to 16.4 billion cubic meters, which is approximately 3.1% more than in the corresponding period of last year. 8.4 billion cubic meters of gas were sold to Europe, 6.5 billion cubic meters to Türkiye, and 1.5 billion cubic meters to Georgia. During this period, 3.7 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye with TANAP," the information states.
