“We forecast the exchange rate of the Azerbaijani manat, supported by the government, will remain at the level of AZN 1.7 against the US dollar,” - it was stated in the forecast of the international rating agency S&P Global Ratings, SİA reports.
“However, if hydrocarbon prices fall sharply and remain low for a long time, we forecast that the government may consider adjusting the exchange rate to protect the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves from a significant drawdown as occurred in 2015,” - S&P added.
